Can’t Find your Website on Google?

Have you tried doing a search on Google using keywords related to your website but it doesn’t appear in the results page? If so, then it looks like you need some Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) done on your website.
Read on for more information on website optimisation and how to increase your website traffic.

What is Search Engine Optimisation or SEO?

SEO is the term used to describe the process of ensuring search engines can recognise your web pages and include them in their search results for relevant keywords.

For your website to be found by a search engine such as Google, it must first be indexed by the search engine. For a search engine to be able to index a website, the web pages must be set up in a certain format. A number of factors are important when optimising a website, such as the structure, content, page layout, HTML meta-tags, number of Inbound Links and the list goes on. An SEO expert can advise you on what changes may be required for your website to be indexed.

Can SEO increase my Website Traffic?

Once your website has been optimised, then it will rank higher in the Search results. The higher a website ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that the site will be visited. Research has shown that most searchers click on websites that appear on the first two results pages therefore, where a site ranks in a search is important to help direct more traffic towards the site.
