· Using a Search Engine such as Google or Yahoo.

Of the four ways mentioned above, research has shown 91% of Internet users use Search Engines and 73% of all online transactions start with search engines. In the UK alone there are over 250 million searches carried out daily.
So from these statistics we can see how vital it is for your business’s success that you’re website be found using a search engine.

So why do we need Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?


The higher up the search results you appear the more prospective customers will visit your website. 87% of all visitors to websites are from a page 1 position and 3.5 billion websites compete for these top slots. Research in the US show that 81% of people using search engines find the information they need every time or most of the time and of those who didn't find the correct information, 77% would conduct a different search on the same search engine.

In simple terms Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the analysis of your business, choosing the right keywords to describe your business and ensuring these keywords are used in the right prominence and frequency through out your website. It also includes the creation of links to improve your link popularity and therefore improving your website’s ranking with the search engines.
